Lahore experienced an electrifying music event as Spotify hosted the eagerly awaited “Pakka Hit Hai” gig’s second round.
Towers opened the show, followed by a headline performance by renowned music producer and composer Talal Qureshi. According to Spotify, this event is not just a concert but a celebration of music, creativity, and collaboration.
With the recent second gig, Spotify took its listeners on a remarkable musical journey where hits are not just promised; they’re “Pakka Hit Hai.”
“‘Pakka Hit Hai’ is Spotify’s first-ever playlist dedicated to the best of current Pakistani hits. Before its launch in July 2022, there was no exclusive platform for local Pakistani music. This playlist embodies the local culture and the music that resonates with Pakistanis today,” said Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Senior Editor for Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
“The second ‘Pakka Hit Hai’ gig, in collaboration with COLABS, aimed to connect audiences with top artists through an on-ground playlist experience.”
Since March 2023, the “Pakka Hit Hai” playlist has seen a 65% growth in followers, with the top three artists being Bayaan, Kaifi Khalil, and Jawad. In terms of tracks, Kaifi Khalil’s “Kahani Suno 2.0” leads, followed by the enduring chart-toppers “Bikhra” and “Iraaday” by Abdul Hannan and Rovalio.
