Renault and Geely to Establish Global Company in UK for Low-Emission Engines. French motor giant Renault and Chinese carmaker Geely have announced plans to launch a new global company with its headquarters in the UK.
The companies will invest up to €7bn ($7.7bn; £6bn) to develop low-emission petrol, diesel, and hybrid engines.
The company will employ approximately 19,000 workers across 17 engine factories and five research and development hubs.
The new venture aims to consolidate operations, leverage synergies, and shape future plans. The company, set to be launched later this year, will supply engines to car manufacturers including Volvo, Nissan, and Mitsubishi.
