Data tracking websites reported on Monday that Instagram’s Threads app, launched as a competitor to Twitter, has garnered over 100 million users in less than five days, setting a new record for the fastest-growing consumer app, surpassing AI tool ChatGPT.

While ChatGPT and TikTok took months to reach the same milestone, Instagram itself took over two years since its launch in 2010.
