Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou to Clash in Boxing Match in Saudi Arabia. Boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will go head-to-head with Francis Ngannou, a top heavyweight fighter in mixed martial arts (MMA), in a professional boxing match in Saudi Arabia on October 28.
The much-anticipated crossover bout was announced after Ngannou’s departure from the UFC. The fight will follow professional boxing rules, with three judges adopting the 10-point must system.
The number of rounds for the match is yet to be confirmed. While Fury’s last fight was in December, talks for a world title showdown against Oleksandr Usyk fell through.
Ngannou, a former UFC champion, is known for his punching power, but MMA fighters have faced challenges transitioning to boxing.
The WBC will not be involved in the fight, which has been granted special permission as a non-title bout for Fury.
