He expressed concerns about the potential emergence of new variants and the possibility of pathogens with even greater lethality. The warning comes during the annual health assembly of the WHO, coinciding with the organization’s 75th anniversary, where discussions on global health challenges and reforms are taking place.
The WHO is currently working on a pandemic treaty that will be presented for ratification next year.
